We have had visits restricted for two per week per each resident and things were so far ok. Just today, we knew that one of our Assisted Living resident tested positive for COVID. No one else so far was positive. All our residents will be tested again this week and the next, probably more than once to make sure everyone is negative. The one resident is now confined in the room and other residents on the floor are asked to put masks when out of their rooms. For the time being (for this week and the next), we are stopping all visits till we make sure everything is fine.

August 26, 2021

Recently and with the surge of the Delta variant in some places somewhat close to us, we had a new plan to step back and limit the visitations again to 2 per week for each resident. Now masks should be worn inside the facility and inside the rooms of the residents and they are not to be taken off during the visit. Other guidelines, of course, are still in effect (temperature and screening logs the entrance, hand sanitizers...). We pray that all residents and staff remain safe and healthy.

June 20, 2021

Governor DeWine made some changes to the order for visitations. People can now come without an appointment and more than 2 persons are allowed to visit at one time in the room of a resident. Other guidelines are still in effect, such as temperature and screening logs, wearing a surgical mask, cleaning hands with soap or hand sanitizers, etc... Our facility still has an hour limit for each visit. We are happy that things are getting better and we hope that everyone will remain safe and healthy.

June 7, 2021

For the last couple of weeks or so, assisted living facilities are no more required to test residents every week or even every couple weeks if all residents are vaccinated. Residents can be tested strategically; that is, if the person/s show any symptoms. We thank God that our residents are doing ok. Also, only unvaccinated staff are to be tested twice per week, but every one is safe and negative.

Almost all of our adult day care participants are also vaccinated. Everyone so far is doing well.

May 4, 2021

For the past two weeks, all staff members of Assisted Living and Adult Day Care tested negative as well as all residents and participants.

As per Governor DeWine, vaccinated staff do not have to take their PCR anymore while unvaccinated staff will have to take their PCR twice a week. Also, all residents, if vaccinated, can take their masks off and be close to each other. As of today, residents do not have to have their PCR test done except strategically, meaning, if they were exposed or suspected to have been exposed to COVID-19 or if they are exhibiting symptoms.

Participants of the adult day care will still have their PCR done for more security. We are testing them every couple weeks.
